We consider a medium handsome to measure 6.5” or above from the base of your palm to the tips of your fingers. If your hands are smaller we would consider that a small hand size and larger that 7.5” we consider large.
No, part of what makes a bass flute a bass flute is the size, the flutes size is imperative to creating the low tones everyone loves. This being said flutes cannot be changed to accommodate a different hand size than recommended in the description.
Yes, our River flute is made for children and adults. The River flute is a perfect size for children as young as six and makes a wonderful travel companion.
Cedar wood will be able to handle the expanding and contracting that often happens in tropical climates. Either yellow cedar or red cedar will both carry these properties and can be used and enjoyed for years in a tropical environment.
Yes, the beauty of the Maya drone flute is that you have a flute side that you play and when including the drone side it will hold a perfectly steady note for you to harmonize with. That note will be the same as your flute for example if you order a Maya A, the drone will hold a steady A note when played.
