Death Whistle Necklace
Clay flutes made by Guillermo Martinez's former apprentice Nash Tavewa. Each beautiful clay flute is handmade from terra-cotta clay. They are carefully sculptured, tuned, and finished with a 12 hour firing to create a one-of-a-kind instrumental art piece. Clay flutes are extremely hard to fine tune, all keys are approximate keys. Keys and hz are not exact and cannot be guaranteed on hadmade clay instruments.
The Death whistle is commonly used in ceremony and to call in the spirits, each has it's very own uniquely haunting sound.
Nash Tavewa is a member of the Bene Walash (people of the clouds) an autonomous community found in Oaxaca.
